I soar across rooftops and stride across vast flowerbeds to make life dance to my own tune.  I do not paint the world as it is but as I feel it.  Through my paintings the desire is there to reawaken suppressed ideals and explore new ways of seeing the world.  What concerns me is not the primordial forces of the world but the poeticism and enchantment of nature.  Why paint a picture that does not convey something beautiful?

 

It is not my wish to want the viewer’s eye to cruise freely,  for me,  detail as such has no autonomous existence.  Painting is not a work of art it is the other world.  For me the act of painting is both a miracle and a fight with matter and experience.I make no effort to deny my unique style or to hide my technique.  You will see an absolute singularity of style that resists trends and programmatic directions.

My work is an embellishment and idealization of the world which is born by a consciousness of what we have forgotten in our lives.

This gift has been and will continue to be a wonderful experience.  It began five months after the death of my beloved Mother as a healing process.  My short career has resulted in prizes as follows:-

5 weeks after beginning – a painting was chosen to hang on the stage in one of Australias most prestigious art shows (Camberwell Herald-Sun art show – Melbourne)
Each year my paintings have been chosen (and sold) at the above mentioned show.

I also exhibit at Alexandra Rotary Art Show each Easter  (Victoria)

At the beginning of June 2009, I joined an art group under the guidance of well known Australian Artist Kevin Boucher.  Here I am learning new skills from a truly professional artist.
